TSR Helmet

TECHNICAL SEARCH AND RECONNAISSANCE

This new lightweight helmet provides a level of protection against blast, fragmentation, heat and impact.

The TSR helmet weighs less than a full-scale EOD helmet, making it more suitable for missions where the operator favors lighter weight in consideration of a decreased blast threat.

• Worn with the Med-Eng TAC 6E to form an integrated suit and helmet ensemble.
• Designed for search, explosives disposal support roles, CBRNe, and military mine clearance.
• Integrated speakers and microphone to maintain communications with command post.
• Ventilation to keep the wearer feeling refreshed and reduce heat stress.
• White and red lights.
• User-friendly Remote Control Unit – mounted on the wrist to control ventilation, lights and volume.
• EMI/EMC Class A protection against Radio Frequency (RF) threats.
• Includes a Technical Power Supply mounted on the body, to help minimize weight on the user’s head.
• Visor locks in the raised position.
• Four-point retention system for secure mounting in case of blast.
• Optional BA Visor to accommodate respirators in case of a Chemical/Biological threat.
